HarmonyOS 2 continues to spread on Huawei and Honor smartphones, but it is an update from EMUI mainly widespread in China. For Western users owning Huawei smartphones with Android operating system there are great news: the company in Shenzhen has unveiled the new version EMUI 12!
As reported by Gizchina, Huawei has made official the custom user interface EMUI 12 based on Android coming on most devices launched outside the home market, introducing new features not only related to the aesthetics of the smartphone but also to security and performance. But let's look at all the main news calmly.
First of all, EMUI 12 will introduce an even more minimalist and realistic interface, based almost exclusively on the colors white, black and blue and full of animations that, according to Huawei, are inspired by the way celestial objects move in the universe. There will also be the possibility to adjust not only the size of the font but also its weight, with the simple sliding of the appropriate slider.
Among the unpublished controls of EMUI 12 we find a new control panel that is easily accessible via any screen, from which you can control the playback of multimedia files, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi settings and much more, including device +. The latter is a feature that facilitates the connection between various Huawei devices, from smartphones to MatePad, MateBook, monitors and TV Huawei Vision, simply touching the icons dedicated to the different products. In this way you can use multiscreen mode to make calls from the tablet screen as well, or watch video from your phone directly on your TV.
Another important news concerns MeeTime, an exclusive video call application announced again with EMUI 10.1 in March 2020. With EMUI 12, it will allow users to easily transfer calls to Huawei Vision and back to their phone. Side performance shows a higher speed in uploading apps and web pages even after prolonged use, while in security EMUI 12 will allow you to unlock your phone from your laptop using device + mode.
