LG Display would initiate the development of an OLED LTPO panel for a 12.9 inch iPad that would arrive between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024. This panel, according to the Korean warhead the Elec, should offer more brightness and longevity.
Samsung Display would also focus on developing a similar panel as the 10.86 inch OLED for the next generation iPad Air it was working on, not achieving a satisfactory qualitative yield, would be erased. Apple, in fact, should still use a TFT.
The Elec recently reported that Apple would be developing two new models of iPad Pro with low power OLED LTPO display with expected arrival in 2023 or 2024. These panels should ensure improved ProMotion with a wider range of upgrade frequencies.
