Samsung Galaxy Watch 4: the Walkie Talkie arrives
The merger of Wear OS and Tizen was probably the most important news of 2021, which made the interest in smartwatches by the level soar 'user.
Wear OS 3 lived up to high hopes and delivered an interface packed with incredible features for Samsung's Galaxy Watch 4. Things get more interesting when we find out that these hardwares can be further transformed into Walkie Talkies. Well, Samsung has managed to make it… a reality.
It's the Samsung WalkieTalkie app that allows two Galaxy Watch 4s to turn into one Walkie Talkie. It couldn't be simpler than this: all you have to do is pair both watches using the company's proprietary application. Once paired with the smartphone, the wearables can immediately start working autonomously.
Apple also put a similar feature on its products, but the experience was not as smooth as one would expect from an apple gadget. As for this WalkieTalkie app, it has been discovered to be in the works long before the launch of the unified platform WearOS 3. However, the feature in question is contextual only to the new smartwatch models just presented by the Korean OEM.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 stands out in more than one way from the competition: on the one hand we find a lot of innovative functions that aim to introduce a fluid user interface, on the other we find extreme customization. Nonetheless, the construction is premium.
Needless to deny it: for a number of factors, the Galaxy Watch 4 is and will be (at least for the near future) the indisputable king in the domain of smartwatches in the Android landscape.
